Aerial Drone Roof Building Inspections / Surveys
W
orking in partnership with experienced roofers, inspectors, surveyors and/or building professionals, we offer a cost-effective all-in-one solution for residential, commercial, industrial and historic roof inspections no matter how large or small the building.
For a roof survey, we can also work alongside a RISC surveyor (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) supplying the necessary photography and video footage allowing them to create a RISC-approved roof or building survey.
For an inspection, we offer you, aerial building, chimney, spire and tower inspections using video and photography.
We can supply you with up to 4k video and high-resolution photographs of the most hard-to-reach structures, giving you a cost-effective inspection whilst avoiding expensive cherry pickers or scaffolding. There is no need for anyone to leave the ground so the project is much safer.
Thermographic Technology
We can use drone technology to identify leaks, mould and rot. Sometimes traditional methods will include guess and check methods which can be costly and inefficient and can involve removal of the building exterior.
Utilising thermal technology we can identify defects and anomalies and provide an accurate inspection report that include plans for repair and replacement.
What can a roof inspection tell me?
-
- Roof covering – age – expected longevity – condition comparable to similar properties – suspected leaks
- Ridge tiles – Mortar condtion – ridge iron check – ridge tile condition
- Guttering and rainwater systems – Type – life expectance – problems or blockages – damage or cracks – leaking joints or unions
- Valleys and gulleys – Fatigue splits – life span – poor repairs – mortar condtion if present
- Chimney stacks – Brickwork and mortar condition – loose chimney pots – worn chimney flaunching – flashing type and condition
- Flat roofs – Flat roof condition – flat roof decking checked for soft spots – roof covering and life expectancy
- Roof windows and Skylights – Install quality – flashing check – cracked glass or fogging of units
- Dormer roofs – Covering – condition – longevity
- Roof structure – External and internal checks for – roof sag – roof spread – Purlin support and condition – internal light – condensation issues – ventilation – wall plates – tie bars and condition
IMPROVE SAFETY.
With no need for cherry pickers, scaffolding or using ropes or pulleys, aerial drone surveys provide a much safer method of surveying and an overall safer environment for workers.
Having to use a lot of equipment increases the chances of something going wrong, but as drone surveys use less equipment, this is much less of a concern.
There is no reason for anyone to leave the ground, so the project is much safer.
SAVE TIME.
Drones can capture more detail and can perform several tasks at once. Inspections can be completed within hours, half a day or a full day.
If the matter is urgent, we use building inspection software and can provide all your images geo-tagged onto a layered map of the building within hours.
You can also view the building through the live feed from the drone’s camera using our LCD display.
REDUCE COSTS.
Because of the drones’ ability to fly, the drones reduce costs and equipment needs.
Without the need to erect scaffolding, use cherry pickers or ropes and pulleys–using a drone service can be far more cost-effective.
The lower costs of drone inspections can result in more regular building inspections and allow you to easily identify potential and existing problems. Enabling you to fix them before they cause bigger, more costly issues or even a shutdown of a business or workplace.
